Users can leverage APT's capabilities for tasks such as planning, collimation, alignment, focusing, framing, plate solving, image control, synchronization, scheduling, analysis, monitoring, and much more. To effectively capture or observe faint deep sky objects, it is crucial to utilize the darkest periods of the night. Within APT, this duration is referred to as DSD Time - Deep Sky Darkness Time.

The primary function of APT DC is to determine the duration of DSD Time and identify its start and end points based on selected nights and locations. Users have the option to use their current location or choose from three additional pre-saved observation sites.
