This timeframe is defined as the period between the end of evening astronomical twilight and the beginning of morning astronomical twilight, alongside when the Moon is below the horizon. Within APT, this duration is referred to as DSD Time - Deep Sky Darkness Time.

The primary function of APT DC is to determine the duration of DSD Time and identify its start and end points based on selected nights and locations. Users have the option to use their current location or choose from three additional pre-saved observation sites.
